TRCN Inducts New Staff Members
Wokocha, who gave the charge recently in a one-day in-house induction workshop said the workshop was a pre-requisite for all staff and not only new staff, stressing that, “as new entrants to the council, knowledge of the operations of the council, extant rules and work ethics was imperative for career advancement.” The TRCN boss further noted that new members are to be on probation for two years in line with the Public Service Rules. In his words, “Pensionable appointment is subject to confirmation of appointment which in turn is subject to good report and good performance. According to the Registrar, the aim of the induction workshop was to empower staff and make them full members of the TRCN team. To this end, he continued, as members of the TRCN team, it is expected of participants to avoid any form of indebtedness that could lead to financial embarrassmen t. In their comments, both the TRCN Director, Admin and Supplies, Dr. Godwin A. Ogwuche, and his counterpart in the Department of Professional Operations, Dr. Steve Nwokeocha, while commending the council's Training and Development Division for anchoring the workshop, noted that the workshop was timely and relevant. The duo however called on participants to live exemplary lives that would earn them unhindered advancement in their career. Also speaking at the workshop was the Acting Director of Planning, Research and Statistics, Dr. (Mrs.) Grace Adedoyin, who advised participants to be diligent in the performance of their duties and maintain good report at all times.
