Mr. Godwin Akor Ogwuche was born on 15th April, 1956 in Otukpo, Benue State to the Family of Mr. Alfred Egba Ogwuche and Fatu Odu Ogwuche.

Mr. Ogwuche had his early primary education in St. Andrews Primary School, Mubi, Adamawa State between 1963 – 1969; he attended Comprehensive secondary School, Mubi from 1970 – 1974 for the WASC, and Federal Government College, Kaduna, 1974 – 1976 for the Higher school Cerificate. Mr. Ogwuche had first degree at te University of Ibadan, graduating with a B.Sc.(Hons) in political Science, 1979.

He obtained the Master of Public Administration (MPA) from University of Lagos, 1988; a certificate at Postgraduate level in Effective Micro-Computer Information Systems (EMIS) from the University of Manchester, UK in 1995. He is currently rounding up a Ph.D programme in Political Economy and Development Studies, with special research interest in funding university education, at the University of Abuja.

FUNCTIONS OF THE OFFICE OF THE REGISTRAR/CHIEF EXECUTIVE

The Office of the Registrar is the coordinating centre of all activities of the TRCN. All the functions and activities of the three departments of the Council are carried out under the supervision and guidance of the Office of the Registrar. TRCN is a system, an entity with the actions and activities of its various departments being undertaken for the overall progress and development of the entire Council.

The Office of the Registrar is made up of six(6) units comprising the immediate office of the Registrar, the Internal Audit Unit, Legal, Information and Public Relations, Protocol and Servicom Units. A highlight of the activities of the Units is presented as follows:

The Office of the Registrar

The immediate Office of the Registrar is at the height of the Council. As it is said, the buck stops at the Registrar/Chief Executive's desk.

Information and Public Relation Unit

This Unit supplies to the public various press statements on the activities of the Council. The press statements found outlets in various media for wide coverage and exposure on the Council.

Legal Unit

The Unit renders legal advisory services to the various departments of the Council. This involves making inputs to various committees set up by Council for general well being of staff. Also the Unit prepares agreements for the Council.

Internal Audit Unit.

This is the Unit that verifies, determines the accuracy and reliability of revenue, and expenditure of the Council. It cross checks the employees file, pre and post audits all payment vouchers, pre-inspects items supplied to the Council before taking charge.

Protocol Unit

The Protocol Unit is responsible for handling all matters related to TRCN guests, these include their welfare. It also handles travel arrangements for TRCN staff and Council members. It is also incharge of all the vehicle/transport matter of the Council.

Servicom Unit

This is the Unit charged with service delivery of Council to teachers in particular and public in general.
