Return to the Register (left or lapsed)
To re-register, email us with scanned copies of all the required documents listed below at registrations@trcn.gov.ng with the subject line 'Return to the Register'.

It's time to return to teaching in Nigeria
Information you will need to provide
Your TRCN Registration Number (if known)
Full name as it appeared on the Register prior to lapsing
Current full name (if changed). If your name has changed, please attach proof (e.g., marriage certificate, affidavit, or change of name document)
Date of birth
Current full postal address
Telephone number
Email address
Evidence of clearance from the Nigeria Police or any relevant security agency, if applicable
A valid means of identification (copy of the photo page of your international passport, national ID, or driver's licence)
Copy of your birth certificate or any official document verifying your identity
A recent utility bill showing your current address
If you completed a Return to Teaching programme, attach proof of completion
If you were provisionally registered, submit a completed reference or recommendation form
For applicants who have lived outside Nigeria for 6 months or more in the past 5 years, a valid police clearance or criminal record check from the country concerned may be required
