TRCN starts eRegistration of Teachers

The Registrar/Chief Executive Teachers Registration Council, Mr. Anjikwi Musa Ciwar (OON/MNAE) has reiterated his determination to ensure the prompt restoration of the lost glory of the teaching profession in the Country.

The TRCN Boss made the statement in Abuja recently, during the official launch of eRegistration of Teachers in the Country. He said TRCN had worked selflessly with the National eGovernment Strategies and Skye Bank PLC in ensuring that registrable Teachers across the Country no longer need to worry over how to get registered with the TRCN since the registration process has been made easy with the electronic registration via the internet.

Teachers who have the prerequisites for registration, Ciwar noted, should simply log-on to the NeGST portal on www.enigeria.com.ng which invariably will grant access to the registration platform. The registrant, he continued, can at this point click on Public Service menu on the top left side of the page or click on the eRegistration Services, eAuthentication and eReporting Services on the page.

This, Ciwar noted, would lead the Registrant to step two of the process which is to click on Teachers Registration which would welcome registrant to a “welcome to TRCN online Services Access Portal.” The eRegistration link would then link applicants to two options, to either start a new eRegistration form, or continue filling a previously saved eRegistration form that is not more than five days old.

Speaking at the launch, the Executive Vice Chairman, National eGovernment Strategies, Dr. Olu Agunloye, described the eGovernment initiative as being multidimensional and complex. “It is a concept that requires a broad definition and understanding, in order to design and implement a successful strategy.” He said, adding that teachers – estimated at 1.5 m (old, current and new) would benefit from the bold step TRCN has taken towards restoring the lost glory of teachers in the country.

Agunloye stated further that teachers can access TRCN eRegistration from anywhere, at any time using Desktops and Laptops that are connected to internet, cyber cafés’ facilities, eKiosks, eBukas and Cyber Points nationwide.

He however commended the Registrar of TRCN for the support given eGovernment to design the council’s website, noting that the council has become the frontline Agency Pilot in the eGovernment history in the country.
